All of our apprentices get paid the National Living Wage. You'll get paid monthly, on around the 25th of each month.

Our head office is in Northallerton and that's where inductions and training happens and you'll find most of our office colleagues based here. We have other sites in Leyburn, Scarborough, Stokesley, Thirsk and Brompton. Our Property Services teams are mobile and work across the whole of North Yorkshire.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week spread across Monday to Friday.

We offer 33 days annual leave per year, including bank holidays. If you stay on beyond the apprenticeship, your annual leave will increase by a day each year to a maximum of 38 days.

We usually make offers to successful candidates in August to start in September.

Most of our apprentices go to college one day each week. However depending on the course you do it might involve block release (a week of study at a time) or you might be taught and assessed in the workplace. Some of the more specialised courses are delivered remotely.

We have a partnership with Middlesbrough and Darlington College. We also work with commercial training providers, East Durham College and Leeds College of Building. The college you go to depends on your course, and what works best for you.

We will provide all the PPE and tools that you'll need to do your job - and uniform if it's a trades position. There is no uniform for office-based teams, we usually wear casual office wear.

You'll need to be 16 or over and there is no upper age limit.

We strongly believe that a disability shouldn't be a barrier to achieving your goals. We can make reasonable adjustments to support most disabilities and the colleges will offer support for conditions like dyslexia. You'll be concentrating on getting the skills and knowledge for your apprenticeship but there will be chance to learn other skills and shadow colleagues from other teams.

No, although we would recommend that you learn if possible. Our qualified tradespeople need a driving licence to do their job. You don't need one as an apprentice but you will need one to move into a permanent position once you qualify.

Your Team Leader will be your main point of contact but you'll work with different people to help you learn a wide range of skills. We might even arrange for you to work at one of our partner organisations to get as much experience as possible.

For most roles, the apprenticeship lasts between 18 months and two years. The trades apprenticeships usually last for four years.

That depends on when you got the qualification and what it is. It's ultimately up the training provider to decide if it can be credited towards your apprenticeship. We'll discuss it when you're offered an apprenticeship at Broadacres.

We commit to helping you achieve the qualification that you'll need to do the job we're training you for. Usually that means a level 3 qualification, as well as any additional qualifications we think you need to do the role.

Our offices are clean, modern and mostly open plan. Most of the trades people work in and around people's homes which can vary quite a lot and may or may not have people living in them at the time. Our support schemes are built to support the needs of the customers and often include communal spaces and, in some cases, restaurants. Wherever we're based, we all work together as one big team, One Broadacres, and support each other to be the best we can.

After you've completed your apprenticeship, we hope to be able to offer you a permanent role within our teams but we can't guarantee it.
